Economy and Energy Minister Petar Dimitrov had a meeting on October 2 with Herman Wijffels, executive director of the Dutch group at the World Bank, a Economy and Energy Ministry press statement said.
The meeting was an initiative of the World Bank as part of a two-day visit by Wijffels to Bulgaria.
Wijfels has been executive director of the Dutch group at the World Bank since the end of 2006.
Dimitrov and Wijfels discussed programmes for renewable energy and energy efficiency.
Dimitrov confirmed Bulgaria's commitment to stimulating investments in high tech industry in order to increase competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy.
Both parties expressed their hopes for a successful outcome of the projects under the Partnership strategy of the World Bank for Bulgaria, Focus news said.
