For Bulgaria, the case of its medics accused to deliberate HIV infection has come to a conclusion and a successful one at that, Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin said.
Kaflin declined to comment on an interview given to Reuters news agency by Seif al Islam, son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddaffi, in which Al-Islam said that from the very beginning it was obvious that the medics would be pardoned.
Still, Kalfin said that he liked al Islams statement and it was reasonable and in a very correct direction.
Al-Islam was among those who had played a very important role in resolving the case and he was well aware of everything that had happened, Kalfin said, as quoted by Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
Kalfin said that Bulgaria had always been convinced of the medics innocence, as were Bulgarias partners.
Bulgaria had observed the procedures in Libya and honoured all its engagements under international obligations, he said.
