Bulgaria's first and only driver in International Formula Master series, Vladimir Arabadjiev from team JD Motorsport, finished fourth in the August 31 2008 race in Oschersleben, one place ahead of teammate Sergey Afanasiev.
The race in Germany was the 12th round of this year's Formula Master championship.
Arabadzhiev put in an impressive performance to finish in fourth place after having started 10th on the grid.
The winner was 18-year-old Josef Kral, who secured his team JVA its first ever Formula Master victory. Kral became the eighth Formula Master race winner this year.
The young Czech started second on the grid but it did not take him while to grab the led ahead of Tim Sandtler from team ISR and keep it until the finish line. Second was Fabio Leimer from Jenzer Motorsport and third came Michael Ammermüller from Iris Project.
In the 11th race of the championship, held a day earlier, Arabadjiev finished outside point-scoring positions.
Fourth place at the second race in Oschersleben allowed Arabadjiev to keep his fifth place in the overall standings with 29 points, just two points ahead of the sixth-placed Kasper Andersen.
Arabadzhiev's team-mate Chris van der Drift is top with 75 points, followed by Ammermüller (62 points), Leimer (45 points) and Harald Schlegelmilch (34 points).
The next two races are scheduled for September 20-21 at Italy's Imola circuit. The season's last two races are in Monza, Italy, on October 4-5.
