
Bulgarian Hristo Stoichkov was ranked 30th in the greatest footballers in the history of football chart, created by authors of the book The greatest footballers of all time, Dnevnik daily said.
The book is due to be released in mid-November 2007.
Stoichkov achieved great success in the last decade of the 20th century by winning several prestigious collective and individual awards.
The Bulgarian triumphed with the Champion's League title in 1992 while playing for the Spanish FC Barcelona, won the 1994 Golden Ball award for best European footballer and reached the semi-finals of the 1994 World Cup with the Bulgarian national team.
The first place in the chart is for Pelé, followed by two other Brasilian footballers – Ronaldo and Romario. Portuguese Luís Figo is 4th, leaving Maradona, Johan Cruijff and Franz Beckenbauer behind.
