Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) extended a special invitation to Barcelonas Cameroonian striker Samuel Etoo to take part in the national conference against racism in Bulgarian football, which was to begin in mid-November 2007, Stefan Ormandjiev, deputy head of BFU, said.
Etoo accepted the invitation, but was still to confirm his participation in the conference, Ormandjiev said as quoted by Focus news agency.
BFU had invited also Interior Minister Roumen Petkov, national youth and sports agency head Vessela Lecheva, Bulgarian Olympic Committee head Stefka Kostadinova and football figures from Romania.
Ormandjiev said that the national conference against racism in Bulgarian football was organised in co-operation with UEFA.
The event was extremely important because it would make clear what measures were taken against racism.
