
On November 16 Bulgarian Culture Minister Stefan Danailov took part in the Education, Youth and Culture EU Council of Ministers meeting in Brussels, Bulgarian National Radio BNR reported.
The Council discussed a programme for the development of culture in the EU to be performed in the 2008-2010 period, Bulgarian News Agency BTA announced.
This programme would stress the importance of culture to the EU, as well as the importance of cultural processes to EU development, Danailov told Bulgarian journalists.
Danailov participated for the first time in an Education, Youth and Culture Council of Ministers meeting, BNR said.
Danailov said he was impressed with the Council's work and added that Bulgaria would participate actively in the execution of the programme.
