The international film festival for short film Filmini will take place in Sofia's Dom na Kinoto between October 17 - 21.

Films compete for awards in several categories, including best international, best balkan, best Bulgarian and audience award, avtora.com said.

The international jury with film professionals, who will be juding the films includes Bernard Rayen, member of the short film selection committee of the Critics' week in Cannes.

Best films will receive an award statue plus 1 000 euro.

Parallel to the competitions, a selection of Spanish films, awarded with a Goya prize, from between 2002 and 2006 will be shown.
