Bulgarian police already identified the Bulgarian who was arrested while transporting 2.5 tons of cocaine close to the Spanish island of Ibiza, Darik Radio reported.
The Bulgarian was arrested on board of a small ship along with a Czech and a Croatian, Darik said.
Police supposed that the man was a part of a cocaine-smuggling ring.
The cocaine probably came from Columbia through Spain and Bulgaria and was to be imported in the Netherlands, according to the police.
The amount of cocaine seized was worth more than 200 million euro, Darik said.
Bulgarians living in Spain, Germany and the UK controlled cocaine-smuggling rings passing through Bulgaria, a police representative said.
