On June 19 German Marshall Fund representatives arrived in Bulgaria to work on business and political partnership between the country and the transatlantic community.
During its visit, German Marshall Fund will meet representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria and the foreign affairs and European integration parliamentary committees.
The organisation will also discuss with Bulgarian Olympic Committee Sofia's bid for 2014 Winter Olympics host, the Foreign Ministry said.
German Marshall Fund was established in 1972 as part of the Marshall Memorial Fellowship in Washington. The aim of the organisation is to encourage transatlantic co-operation. It has representative offices in Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Belgrade and Ankara.
On June 19 Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin met organisation representatives. During the meeting Kalfin presented Bulgaria's foreign policy priorities and the Cabinet's action plan to meet EU accession criteria. Other subjects of discussion were common business projects in Southeastern Europe.
