Bulgaria would send 50 soldiers to take part in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
A draft decision concerning the Bulgarian participation has already been created and awaits final Cabinet approval, Darik Radio reported.
According to initial plans the Bulgarian troops would be located near the UNIFIL headquarters in southern Lebanon. The Bulgarians would probably take part in operations in Nakoura village, close to the Lebanese-Israeli border.
The Bulgarians would guard humanitarian packages and would provide security for the passage of VIP personnel and convoys.
UN would cover all transportation expenditure, as well as the funds needed for medical care, fuel, food and military equipment, Darik reported.
By September 15 the Bulgarian troops would be ready for the mission and are expected to travel to Lebanon in the end of next month.
