For the third consecutive year Bulgaria would have its representative at the Eurovision song contest.

Competition for the selection of the Bulgarian representative has already been launched. All performers willing to take part should present a song by January 12 2007, avtora.com reported.

Judges would select the best 18 entries by January 15 2007.

These songs would be performed live in the National Palace of Culture on February 24. Bulgarian National Television would broadcast the show.

Viewers would have 10 minutes after the end of the gig to vote for their favourite song through a phone call or an SMS. Their vote would determine the Bulgarian song that will take part in Eurovision 2007.

Songs to enter the competition should not be performed in public prior to October 1 2006, competition rules said.
