The EU PHARE programme will grant Bulgaria 6.67 million euro for a de-institutionalisation project.
The project involves improving the standards of living for children, old people and of people suffering from psychological disorders, Labour and Social Policy Deputy Minister Dimitar Dimitrov said.
Part of the sum, 2.2 million euro will be utilised for medical and education services for children.
The same services would be offered to old people and the sum provided would be 2.47 million euro, a Labour and Social Policy Ministry press release said. Part of the money would be used for the establishment of at least two hospices and a day centre, the report said..
Two million euro are to be used for the establishment of at least four hospital wards for people with psychological disorders.
