From July 23 to 27 Bulgaria would host the international training European Union- Overcoming the Consequences of Terrorist Acts in Southeastern Europe.
Emergency teams from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia would take part in the session, a press release of the Disaster Management Ministry said.
NATO and EU observers would also be present during the training sessions.
The forum includes a two-day computer simulation and a two-day training session.
Computer simulation would focus on overcoming the consequences of a terrorist strike on a fictitious country in Southeastern Europe. It would test the ability of local emergency teams to react fast and to co-operate with other institutions in case of emergency.
The actual training would take place from July25 to 27 in Montana. It includes management of consequences from terrorist acts in hotels, chemical factories and water basins.
