BULGARIA TO AID INVESTORS HIRING YOUNG SPECIALISTS

The state will provide aid to investors, who decide to hire specialists aged up to 29 or interns from Bulgarian universities.

Such preferential treatment is listed in the new law for encouraging investment in the country, Focus news agency reported. The law was accepted on November 30.

Alleviations will also be considered for investors expressing interest in some of Bulgaria's underdeveloped economic sectors.

Investors carrying out projects in high technology production would also be entitled to financial aid for employee qualification and training, Focus reported.

In the coming years Bulgaria plans to encourage investment in industrial spheres including processing, energy production and the utilisation of renewable energy resources.

Concerning services, the state would encourage investment in computer technologies, research, education and healthcare.
