BULGARIA'S TROOPS IN KOSOVO DONATE FUNDS FOR THE CHILDREN OF COLLEAGUES

Bulgaria's police troops in Kosovo donated on January 8 2007 funds for the children of Interior Ministry employees who died on duty.

Commander of the troops Kiril Kirilov gave the 3000 euro collected to Interior Minister Roumen Petkov.

The 59 policemen from the Kosovo troops willingly provided the 3000 euro to aid the children of their colleagues, said Kirilov. Apart from the collected funds, the policemen also donated the 2000 euro their received after winning the Policeman of the Year award.

Petkov said that he wanted to thank the troops in Kosovo for the professional manner in which their carried out their duties, for the solidarity and for the kindness.
