A memorandum with 25 demands of Bulgaria's tourism sector will be send to the Presidency, Cabinet and to the Transport, Economy, Finance and Regional Development ministries.
The lack of a national strategy for tourism development is among the main hindrances to the development of the sector, the memorandum reads.
Tourism representatives propose updates in urban plans, tourism development programmes for better service for the growing number of tourists and new construction regulation policies.
Additional suggestions include the creation of tourism information cetres and dealing with ecological problems, the Bulgarian news agency reports.
The document comes as a result of the conference the National Hospitality Management Club organised. More than 150 mayors and municipality representatives, hotel owners and tourism agency representatives participated.
