Bulgarian best tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova has won a ranking for the second round of the Nordic Light Open tournament in Swedish Stockholm.

Nordic Light has a total of $145 000 prize money, Darik Radio reported.

Pironkova defeated fifth-seeded Nathalie Dechy 7:6, 6:3 in the first round. The Bulgarian managed to eliminate her opponent after the time break in the first set and had no problem sealing her victory at the beginning of the second set.

Pironkova said that she was happy about her victory because it had been a difficult match.

The victory won Pironkova 15 points for the world ranking and $1925 in prize money. In the next round, she goes up against the winner of the match Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany vs Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic.
