The state debt reached 5.86 billion euro in the end of March.
Out of the total, 1.51 billion euro is domestic and 4.35 billion euro is foreign debt. Compared to values for the previous month, the decrease reached three million euro.
Debt represents 22.4 per cent of the GDP and the share remains almost unchanged in comparison to February 2007 values.
Since the beginning of the year, Bulgaria has made payments totaling 1.21 billion leva to manage its debt.
Nearly 927 million leva were provided to meet the foreign debt and 282.5 million leva were allocated to the domestic share.
