The eight parliamentary represented rightist parties in Bulgaria split once again concerning the selection of a common presidential candidate.
Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), Union of Democratic Forces (UDF), Union of the Free Democrats (UFD) and the Democratic Party said they would support the nomination of Nedelcho Beronov, Novinar newspaper reported.
The decision of other rightist formations is still expected.
Representatives of Gergiovden movement said that two nominees were possible, Beronov and Anastasia Mozer. Rightist parties had to carefully select one candidate who could oppose the attempts of current President Georgi Purvanov to win second term in office, Gergiovden said.
Both Beronov and Mozer were suitable candidates and talks between rightist formations needed to continue, Gergiovden said.
At the same time Gergiovden members said that polls showed only three people could unite the right wing electorate. These were DSB leader Ivan Kostov, UDF leader Petar Stoyanov and Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov, Novinar reported.
