National Revenue Agency (NRA) collected 4.7 billion leva from taxes and social security installments for the first five months of 2007.
Revenue from taxation was 439 million leva higher compared to the sum for the first five months of 2006. Revenue from income taxation increased by 127 million leva.
Revenue from social security and healthcare installments increased with 219 million leva.
Healthcare security installments also increased reaching 302 million leva in 2007, 43 million leva more than figures in 2006.
NRA collected 47.2 per cent of the total value of taxes and security installments planned for the entire 2007. In comparison, it managed to collect 44 per cent of the 2006 projected revenue.
Another important indicator is taxable profit registered by companies. Data shows that taxable profit increased by 2.9 billion leva, a 62 per cent growth in the period from 2004 to 2006.
