Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev offered his Greek counterpart Kostas Karamanlis help in containing the fires in Greece.
Stanishev offered his condolences to Karamanlis for the victims of the fires. Their number already reached 64.
Stanishev also offered Karamanlis Bulgarian medical aid and medical teams to leave for Greece, cabinet’s press release said.
The two PMs discussed the possibility Bulgarian fire-fighting teams from Southern Bulgaria to patrol in Northern Greece.
In such case Greek firemen will be able to concentrate on the most affected southern parts of the country.
