Unit 5 of Bulgaria’s Kozloduy nuclear power plant (NPP) was switched on again at 2.04am on September 9 2007.
The reactor’s emergency system shut it down on September 1. The reactor underwent a generator repair, a statement released by the NNP said.
A short circuit in the generator caused the emergency switching off, the NPP statement said.
The reactor will be gradually loaded. On Sunday at 11.00am it expected to reach 520 MegaWatts and it would continue to increase its capacity with 2% per hour.
After the block was switched on, the NPP started shutting down unit six of the plant, in order to prepare it for its scheduled annual repair.
