The biggest number of vacation properties was offered for sale in the coastal city of Nessebar and the nearby resorts.

The region continues being one of the most attractive tourism destinations on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, Dnevnik newspaper reported.

Various types of property were offered for sale and could meet the needs of all property seekers, real estate agents said.

Interest was highest towards property located in the old part of Nessebar. At the same time most property for sale was located in the new part of town. Apartments cost on the average from 900 to 1000 euro a sq m, Dnevnik reported.

Sunny Beach resort was also seen as an attractive property investment destination. Prices there averaged 800 to 850 euro a sq m, Dnevnik said. Agents said that mainly Bulgarians bought property in the resort.

Foreigners were also interested in purchase in the region, agents said. Only 10 per cent of these investors bought apartments, planning to live there. Nearly 90 per cent bought apartments in order to offer them for rent or to re-sell them.
