BULGARIA’S LEVSKI ONE STEP CLOSER TO HAVING OWN NEW STADIUM
08:01 Thu 19 Jul 2007

Bulgarian football champions Levski have held talks with the State Agency for Youth and Sport (SAYS) and the Ministry of Interior about Rakovski Stadium.

Levski had been “chasing” the stadium for years and very soon would sign a concession contract for the facility, Standart daily reported.

The main condition in the agreement presented to Levski is that the sports hall could be used by representatives of other Bulgarian sports such as volleyball and basketball.

The new stadium will not be as big as Vassil Levski national stadium but it will be big enough. It is foreseen that there will be an underground parking area for 7000 cars.

Levski coach Stanimir Stoilov said that Levski fans deserved the stadium.
