The government of Bulgaria will cover the complete medical treatment and health coverage for the Bulgarian nurses welcomed back to Bulgaria yesterday after an eight year imprisonment in Libya. This was announced yesterday by the Bulgarian Minister of Labor and Social Policy Emilia Maslarova and the Minister of Healthcare Dr. Radoslav Gaydarski hours after nurses landed in Bulgaria and were pardoned by the Bulgarian president.
A one-time aid of 1 000 leva will be granted by The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy to each of the Bulgarian medics in order to cover their immediate needs. The Government is expected to allot a one-time compensation for each of the nurses on July 26, according to Focus news agency.
Gaydarski also said he would help the medics find appropriate jobs in the healthcare sector. The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy announced it would also assist to the families of the medics in finding jobs, and also help their children to receive scholarships. A one month sea or mountain vacation will also be provided by the government for the nurses and their families.
