During a work visit to the US Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin met Bulgarians living in Florida, as well as business and company representatives.
Kalfin's visit to the US will last until December 21.
Bulgarians discussed with Kalfin economic processes in Bulgaria, as well as the country's upcoming EU entry and new regulations related to it.
During the stay in Florida Kalfin met representatives of local businesses and discussed the role of the region as a commercial centre of international importance.
Kalfin presented investment and company setting up opportunities in Bulgaria, as well as the country's economic environment and investment climate.
Company representatives said that Eastern Europe was a region of high interest now that Bulgaria and Romania expected to become EU members.
Some areas of interest , offering co-operation opportunities, included transport, infrastructure and energy.
