World figure skating champions Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski are still undecided on their further competition participation.
Ending a sport career is a difficult decision to take, Denkova said. The pair will make a choice after resting from the world championship in Tokyo where they won the gold medal for the second time.
The pair managed to defend its world title from the previous championship in Canada’s Calgary. Denkova told private television channel bTV that judges were harsh but originality managed to bring the pair gold medals.
Staviski said that the lack of good skating facilities in Bulgaria was a problem. In order to train new champions, Bulgaria needed to invest in sports facilities, he said.
