Sven-Goran Eriksson’s support was extremely important to Manchester City’s striker Valeri Bojinov during the past several months when Bojinov was injured, the footballer said.
Bojinov suffered cruciate knee ligament injury in August 2007, soon after City bought him. He had already returned to the field and was expected to return to the team in January 2008, City’s official website said.
“I’ve had full support from the Manager from the very first moments after the injury happened,” said Bojinov.
“I’m looking forward to coming back and I think I will like the team’s style. There’s a lot of quality, there’s strength from the goalkeeper all the way through to the strikers,” he said.
Bojinov was sure that he would enjoy playing for City.
