Bulgaria's most awarded film for 2006, Monkeys in Winter, will finally be screened in Bulgarian cinemas.
The launch date is February 9 2007, Monkeys in Winter producer Nevena Andonova said.
The film is a Bulgarian-German co-production and the first feature film of Andonova, Bulgarian news agency BTA said.
It tells the story of three women dating back to 1961, 1981 and 2001 and their longing for happiness and the price they have to pay to keep it.
Monkeys In Winer has already won several awards from the international Golden Rose feature film festival, National Film Centre's awards and Karlovi Vari film festival, BTA said.
On January 13 2007 the film was selected as best Bulgarian film for 2006.
The film was also Bulgaria's selection for the Oscar awards' foreign film category, BTA said.
