Tottenham’s striker Dimitar Berbatov confirmed his commitment to the club and praised Tottenham’s new manager Juande Ramos.
Rumors linked Berbatov with a move from Tottenham, sportbox.tv said. Manchester United was commented as the striker’s most probable new destination.
Still, after Berbatov’s agent met Tottenham’s sporting director Damien Comolli in the beginning of November 2007, the footballer said that he was to stay in the club.
Berbatov said of Ramos that his first impressions were “that he's an incredible person.”
“As a character, he talks to everybody on the team personally. He is a man who tries hard and he wants to help the team very much. He's the perfect one for the job,” Berbatov said as quoted by sportbox.tv.
“I have problems with no-one. All these rumours affected me but I've never wanted to be the centre of the world… I'm a Tottenham player and I'll stay at the club, that's for sure, he said.”
