George Michael chose local musician Vladimir Ampov, aka Grafa as the performer to warm audience for his concert in Bulgaria.
The concert will be held at Sofia’s Lokomotiv stadium on May 28 2007.
Grafa will perform some of his most famous songs which entered MTV’s World Chart Express, avtora.com reported.
A crew of more than 200 people arrived in Bulgaria to prepare the stage for the concert. Additional nearly 100 local workers also took part in the preparations.
The equipment arrived in 30 cargo trucks and 11 buses. It took several days for the stage to be constructed. A special covering was used to protect the grass on the stadium.
The organisers promise a unique show.
Michael’s concert is part of his 25 Live Tour, but the show in Bulgaria will be different, because Michael decided to support the five Bulgarian nurses sentenced to death in Libya and to dedicate the concert to them.
Tickets for the show are still on sale. Prices vary from 50 to 70 leva.
