Bulgaria was planning the evacuation of 15 more Bulgarian citizens from Lebanon, Foreign Ministry said.
On August 2 the Bulgarians would travel by bus to Syria from where they would try to reach Bulgaria on their own expense.
The Foreign Ministry already warned Lebanon and Israel about the planned evacuation and requested co-operation from both countries to guarantee the safety of the Bulgarians.
On August 1 international news agencies reported that the EU called for ceasefire from both Israel and Lebanese militant organisation Hezbollah.
EU was concerned about the lack of measures protecting civilians in Lebanon. The attacks that produced so many fatalities countered international humanitarian laws, an EU letter said.
The letter awaited the approval of all EU foreign ministers, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
Israeli decision to strengthen military presence in Lebanon was unacceptable, Finnish foreign minister Erkki Tuomioja said. Finland is the country that recently took over the EU presidency.
