Bulgaria’s volleyball team kept its third place in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup 2007 ranking after defeating Tunisia by 3:1 on November 27 2007.
The Bulgarian team won hard the first game by 26:24 and lost the second, Focus news agency said. The Bulgarians went on to win the third and the fourth games by 25:15 and 25:17.
Russia leads the ranking with 16 points, followed by Brazil with 15 and Bulgaria with 14 points. Bulgaria and the US have an equal number of wins and losses, but the Bulgarians have a better coefficient.
Coach Martin Stoev said that “for us and for the US the tournament begins again.”
The teams, which rank in the first three places, will go to the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008.
Bulgaria is yet to meet Russia on November 30, Japan on December 1 and Argentina on December 2.
