Bulgarian reforms in the justice and home affairs sector were going on well, European Integration Minister Meglena Kouneva told national private channel bTV.
Laws were approved by European institutions, which acknowledged that Bulgaria was moving closer to the European type of legislation, said Kouneva.
One thing which also needed to change was national mentality and tendency to neglect regulations, said Kouneva.
Meanwhile head of the Bulgaria in EU Press Centre Georgi Gotev commented on the statements of European Parliament rapporteur for Bulgaria Geoffrey Van Orden that a final decision on Bulgaria's EU entry date would be taken in December.
The statement was unexpected, Gotev told Focus news agency. It, however, was unrelated to developments in Bulgaria, said he.
Gotev said that the change in attitude could have resulted from the claims of Romanian president Traian Basescu that if Britain imposed labour market restrictions for Romanian workers, his country was going to do the same for labourers from the UK.
