Bulgartabac took to the streets of Russia this week, as their newest factory produced 50 tons of cigarettes in the city of Kaliningrad. The factory will likely produce 1,500 tons of cigarettes on a yearly basis, said Krasimir Petrov, CEO of Pleven Bulgartabak. By shipping out the raw tobacco and avoiding the high custom duties on cigarettes, the company will cut production costs and increase competition within Russia.
