09:02 Mon 30 Jul 2007

Bulgarian air carrier Bulgaria Air will start flying to three new destinations by the end of 2007, executive director Dimitar Pavlov said.

The company would fly to the Macedonian capital of Skopje, Serbian capital city Belgrade and Istanbul in Turkey, Pavlov told investor.bg.

The flights will be three to four times a week in each direction.

Bulgaria Air plans to buy Boeing and Airbus aircraft in the next few months. The number of aircraft to be purchased will be decided at the end of August 2007.

By that time Bulgaria Air consultant Lufthansa Consulting would have prepared proposals for Bulgaria Air’s restructuring. Balkan Hemus Group acquired Bulgaria Air through privatisation at the beginning of 2007.
