The employees of national flag carrier Bulgaria Air will support the strike within Bulgaria’s transport sector.
On April 12, employees of the State Railways and of Sofia’s public transportation will organise a strike, demanding better working conditions and higher income.
Unions will also demand the removal of regulations determining the income of employees of companies that have more than 50 per cent state participation.
Employees in the sector were discontent with the fact that social aid and bonuses they receive are subjected to taxation.
Further protests are still discussed. Continuous strikes will depend on the government’s reaction to the initial protest, unions said.
Miners, administrators and various technical and transport organisations will support the protest, Focus news agency reported.
