The special telephone numbers for BTC's information and the so-called telephone-defects services would change on January 22, BTC announced.

The old number 144 for telephone number information would become 11 800, mediapool.bg said.

Price of a call would remain the same, a single local call, BTC said.

The telephone defects number 130 would become 13 000 on January 22.

In some of the smaller centrals in the country, the numbers would be available by adding a 0 before the number, BTC said.

The changes were made under EU harmonisation requirements for access to information services. BTC said that clients, who would dial the old numbers after January 22, would automatically hear an announcement about the changes.
