The country of Bulgaria must do something positive about the dog situation It must be one of the worst in the world and will not encourage tourists to holiday in what is a very friendly nation. Dog's bark all day and all night and now we hear on World radio and TV that some poor innocent lady has been killed. Most of the inhabitants of Bulgaria have dog's but unlike most other countries they don't appear to have much control over them Please make Bulgaria a beautiful EU place to visit and allow me and my friends some peace and quiet when at my villa. I love pets but not the sort you have in Bulgaria, they are pests

The news of this poor woman being attacked and killed by stray dogs has apalled but not surprised me. I feel so very sorry for her husband and what I can only imagine he is going through. In this day and age, what on Earth is going on!? The Government in Bulgaria have been aware of the problem with strays on the streets in Bulgaria and despite what anyone says the problem is getting worse and not better. I think its about time they did something about it and started to cull them. Stop making excuses about not having the money to control this or that, because its problems like this that will directly effect tourism for the worse, peole will stop visiting the Country and then the Government will really know what its like to not have the money or the resources to deal with this major problem. Surely now they have to do something, just get rid of the dogs, they serve no purpose and stop people enjoying an otherwise wonderful country. I think that a petition to the Government would have some sway maybe? Who knows, but if things carry on the way they do tourism WILL decline and then where will the Country be. Gerry Bartholomew
