The municipal council of the Bulgarian coastal city of Bourgas has abolished a July 4 referendum regarding the construction of the Bourgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline.
Municipal councillors had refused to discuss financing for the referendum at a meeting earlier today, July 27, according to Focus News Agency.
The item was passed over at the meeting because the proposal for the financing did not name a source for the sum of 80 000 leva.
