The Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) selected 13 new members.
Among them are former national football team coach Hristo Stoichkov, ice dance world champion Albena Denkova, gymnast Yordan Yovchev, head of the state youth and sports agency Vessela Lecheva and short track competitor Evgenia Radanova.
BOC chairperson Stefka Kostadinova said that President Georgi Purvanov supported the idea for Bulgaria to apply for host of winter Olympics.
Bulgaria already applied for host of the 2014 but failed featuring among the short-listed candidates. In case an European city wins, the country will refrain from applying for the next games, which should be carried out outside Europe.
BOC also approved its budget for 2007, Focus Sport agency reported. It will reach 1.835 million leva.
