Tottenham could “go places” with coach Juande Ramos in chief and Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov insisted he would remain with the club to be part of the upsurge.

Moreover, Berbatov said he could not wait to play in the Carling Cup Final against Chelsea on February 24 2008 at Wembley, as Tottenham reached its first final in six years, the UK The Mirror daily said.

With Ramos as chief, it “was just the start of Tottenham competing for silverware.”

“I look happy, don't I? Everybody is happy,” Berbatov said as quoted by The Mirror. “It was unbelievable. We played like a great team against a great football team. We showed if we play like that, we have a great future.”

According to Berbatov, Ramos was ‘a great coach’ and was very pleased with his attitude towards the team. “He proved himself in Spain and now he is here.”

“I know we can achieve a lot. Sometimes we underestimate our ability to do great things,” Berbatov said. “We showed against Arsenal that this club can challenge for trophies. If we believe in our quality, it doesn't matter who we play - Arsenal, Man U or some other team.”
