The Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIB) in cooperation with the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB) and with the assistance of the embassy of Belgium to Bulgaria organised a conference on strategies to optimise the absorption of EU Structural Funds.

The forum would take place on December 7 at Sofia's Hilton hotel, representatives of CEIB announced, as reported by Bulgarian News Agency BTA.

A Belgian business mission was to come to Sofia on the occasion. The mission would have bilateral meetings with Bulgarian companies (mainly CEIBmembers).

The seminar would be a continuation of a business symposium that took place in Sofia at the end of 2006, with the participation of a Belgian economic delegation headed by Prince Philippe, BTA said.

The conference would be opened by Belgium's ambassador to Bulgaria Philippe Beke and CEIB chairman Ivo Prokopiev.

Representatives of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria, Finance Ministry, Transport and Communications Ministry, Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, Sofia Municipality and others would be the main lecturers at the conference, BTA said.
