Bossa Nova legend Bebel Gilberto will make this summer in Bulgaria even hotter with her concert in the coastal city of Varna.
The concert will be in Varna’s summer theatre on August 24 2007, netinfo.bg said. It would be the last concert in Gilberto’s summer tour.
Gilberto will present her third solo album Momento, released in April 2007. The album mixes Brazilian jazz and pop, Bossa Nova, samba and electric sounds. It was produced by Guy Sigsworth, who worked with artists like Madonna, Bjork and Seal.
The tickets for the concert cost from 25 to 60 leva.
Gilberto, often called “the Brazilian Sade” and the Norah Jones of Bossa Nova, is the daughter of Bossa Nova creator Joao Gilberto. She has moved out from her father’s shadow to become a legend herself, netinfo.bg said.
