A bank truck was robbed on the evening of February 28 in the capital of Sofia.
The truck was collecting cash from a store in Luylin residential district, an Interior Ministry press release said.
Attackers were armed and security guards opened fire on them. No one was harmed during the incident.
Amount of money stolen has not been calculated. The truck had already collected cash from other stores along its way, when it was robbed.
Bulgarian news agency BTA said that the money in the truck was insured. The truck was collecting money for First Investment Bank.
Interior Ministry will inspect the company that owns the truck to see if it meets all security requirements.
