The average household income in Bulgaria for March 2007 increased by 20 per cent on annual basis reaching 561.80 leva, National Statistical Institute (NSI) said.
The average income per capita was 220 leva compared to 186.11 leva for the same month of 2006, investor.bg reported.
Nearly 53 per cent of the household income comes from salaries, followed by pensions or 23.6 per cent.
Businesses have a 6.6 per cent share within the household income and domestic production is responsible for 2.5 per cent.
Household expenditure for March increased at the same rate as income reaching 529.28 leva. Expenditure per capita totals 207.26 per cent.
Food and drinks comprise 36 per cent or 190 leva of the household monthly expenditure. Electricity, water supply and fuel bills add up to 13 per cent of expenditure.
