ARCHAEOLOGISTS FIND FRAGMENTS OF ANCIENT TOMB NEAR BULGARIA’S SLIVEN

Bulgarian archaeologists led by famous archaeologist Georgi Kitov found fragments of an ancient tomb near the village of Kaloyanovo in the region of Sliven.

Archaeologist Iordanka Radancheva said that the archaeological expedition found elements from the wall plaster covered with pictures very similar to those in the tomb in Kazanluk.

So far more than ten tombs have been explored by Kitov’s expedition Temp, Bulgarian National Radio said.

The finds including the recently found golden mask and golden ring of a Thracian ruler will be exposed in the historical museum in Sliven.

The treasuries will be kept in special windows for the purchase of which Sliven municipality spent 40 000 leva.
