PANBEX
Kalina Ivanova is the new regional financial manager of Panbex for Central and Eastern Europe. She was previously chief accountant at the Bulgarian Meat Producers Association, and from 2004, financial manager of Panbex Bulgaria, an international producer of and trader in special construction materials for industrial floors. Ivanova has a master’s in accounting from the University of National Economy, Sofia, and a master’s in financial management from the Bulgarian Academy of Science’s Mathematics and Information Technology Institute and Svishtov Economics Academy. She also studied international accounting standards, marketing and financial management and analysis through USAID and Austrian Marketing Institute projects.

MICROSOFT BULGARIA
As of January 14, Ognyan Kiryakov is the new managing director of Microsoft Bulgaria. Previously, from the beginning of 2006, he was the head of Xerox Bulgaria. Prior to this appointment he was post-sales service manager for Xerox Eurasia clients, in charge of a market of 21 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Byelorussia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Armenia, Uzbekistan and Mongolia. Kiryakov also worked as Xerox South East Europe technical director. After graduating, he started his career in management positions at Bulgarian Telecommunications Company.
Kiryakov has a master’s in telecommunications from Sofia Technical University and an MBA from Sofia’s University of National and World Economy. 
 
SIRMA SOLUTIONS
Hristo Enev has been appointed project manager of Sirma Solutions in Varna. Previously Enev was part of the team that came up with the Gallup telemetric system. He also worked as a programme developer at Relaxa and as external consultant on a smart card system development from UK municipalities, during a project by a Black Sea consultancy house, and as service engineer in Apple Computers. Enev graduated from the Technical University in Varna.
Sirma Solutions also appointed a new administrative manager, Vassil Donev. His previous posts include Fund Regional Initiatives director at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and regional director of the Employment Agency for north-eastern Europe. Prior to this appointment, Donev was at Varna Technical University, as adviser to the rector on international programmes.
Donev graduated in radio technology from Varna Technical University and has a professional qualification as a banker-economist from Varna Economy University. In 1988 he obtained his PhD from Moscow’s PI Shishkov Institute. In 1995 and 1998 he did specialist study in the US.

ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING COMPANIES
Nikolai Polinchev is the new chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Specialist Accounting Companies (ASAC).
Polynchev has been working as an accountant since 1998. In 2001 he was among the establishers of BAND Consultancy and Management accounting and business consultancy company. Polynchev has been an ASAC member since 2005. He graduated in finance from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia.



UNICREDIT FACTORING

The new business development director and UniCredit Factoring managing board member is Nikolai Paskalev.
Paskalev has more than 13 years of experience in the banking sector. He started his career at Bulbank, where he established the corporate banking department. He was BNP Paribas corporate office manager in Bourgas and Raiffeisenbank regional manager in Sofia. The following four years, Paskalev worked in Postbank as director of Sofia corporate region and credit risk department director.
He has a master’s in international economic relations from the University of National and World Economy.


ALLIANZ BULGARIA HOLDING

On January 1 2008, Orlin Penev took office as operations director of Allianz Bulgaria Holding. He and Temenuga Nenova became members of the holding’s executive committee. In addition, Penev kept his post as Allianz Insurance executive director. Penev, who is chairperson of the Insurers Association in Bulgaria, has worked for Allianz Group since 1998. Penev has master’s degrees in ship motors engineering and in finance.



ITT

Yavor Djonev is the new executive director of ITT EOOD in Rousse, part of Sirma Group AD since December 2007. Djonev is one of Sirma Group founders and a member of its board of directors. He has many years of experience in complex software decisions development, knowledge’s engineering and company’s management. Currently he is also managing the business department of Sirma Media.
