If Bulgaria prepared and carried out a list of measures in the field of justice, it would prevent the introduction of a safeguard clause in that sector, European Integration Minister Meglena Kouneva said.
Kouneva gave as an example Romania's progress in justice after April 2005 when the government accepted 58 measures.
“Bulgaria's EU entry would happen in the best possible way”, Kouneva said.
Bulgaria's access to the EU internal market would still be under restrictive measures until Bulgaria fulfilled all European requirements, Darik Radio said.
Kouneva said that she would insist on inclusion of the exact date of Bulgaria's EU entry in the EC report.
