Human rights organisation Amnesty International’s office in the Czech Republic and the association of Bulgarians in the country will protest against the death sentences of five Bulgarian nurses charged with intentional HIV infection in Libya.
The two organisations selected the date March 3 for the protest to be held in the Czech Republic’s capital of Prague, Bulgarian news agency BTA said. March 3 is Bulgaria’s Liberation Day.
Amnesty planned peaceful demonstration through the provision of a sign-up list. It will be held in front of the Libyan embassy in Prague.
Organisers of the protest said that the Czech society should get actively involved in the demonstration. Leading Czech media had been informed about the event, BTA said.
